About Rose

I am a person who has always liked working with my hands.  I like to crochet, embroider, do needlepoint and scrapbooking, and have been doing so since a very early age.  I am, and always have been passionate about geodes, which are geologic anomalies, discovered during a family vacation 45 years ago.

​Who could resist combining a passion for some of earth’s most beautiful natural treasures with a need to create with one’s hands?  I certainly couldn’t and the resulting combination has been the formation of Rose’s Rocks, which one could consider a boutique jewelry venture.

​I have found myself endlessly fascinated by the variety of colors and textures that can be found in semi-precious stones and am happiest when I can visualize a finished piece and proceed to match the size shape and color of stones with a variety of metal findings to bring that vision to fruition.
 
I don’t work with precious metals (like silver and gold) unless specifically requested.  My theory is that jewelry should make you happy, not broke.  I realize that not everyone is happy with costume jewelry, and my selling point is that every piece is a unique and truly one of a kind creation.  I can assure you that though they may appear similar, and I am able to closely duplicate designs, no two will ever be exactly the same.
 
Additionally, I have learned a great deal about the metaphysical and healing properties of the stones and learned the most potent, effective and beneficial combinations.  I hope you decide to take a peek inside……I would be honored to create something for you, or someone you love……. whether it is to celebrate life or provide a little assistance with life’s little problems (that is, if you believe in the metaphysical or the idea that stone energies can be turned inward.)
